• In the early stages of infection, you can take concrete steps to protect your long-term health, rather than waiting until you get sick.
• Regular check-ups with a doctor who has experience with HIV/AIDS will enable you to live a healthy and longer life.
• If you are HIV positive and pregnant, you can take medications and other precautions to significantly reduce the risk of infecting your infant.
• You can get the counselling and emotional support you need.
